The Boorowa Goldies took on Temora on Saturday at Temora, where they emerged with another strong victory, 44 – 19.
Although Temora were aggressive early on and managed to break Boorowa’s defence, the Goldies were quick to pull together and turn the game around, before soon blowing it out of the park.
There were tries from Johnson, Klose, Poplin, Chudleigh, Hick, and Jordan.
A coach for the team, Keagan Size, said, “A few things fell into place. It was a good game. We stuck to our structures, put continuous pressure on them and scored points. It is nice to run in eight tries.
“Temora got some off the back of our ill discipline in the first half, and then early in the second half, we got them back, that was off the back of our discipline.
“We have the bye this weekend, and then we play Condobolin at home.

“We will hit the training paddock again and keep refining our structures, and we will be fine. Trust the process.
“We have done well, yes, but we’ve also had some close games, and we’re making the season unreasonably hard for ourselves.”
“We need to work on some continuity within the team, stop losing some blokes to injuries and get a bit more commitment from the blokes to the training paddock.
The Goldilocks weren’t as lucky, going down to Temora 29 – nil.
“The ladies had a fun game. They had a few extra players from West Wyalong and Young. They played some pretty good rugby.”
The Goldies enjoy the bye this week, ready to take on Condobolin next week.
