The big fella, Keagan Size didn’t mince words when asked what Boorowa must do if they want to finish the comp strongly, make finals and attempt to go back to back.
“We have got to turn up and got to tackle.
“We travelled with a few less than we normally would, which is frustrating from a coaching point of view.
“It’s getting to the pointy end of the year and everyone has lives to live outside of footy, but a lot of people all went away at the same time.
“I think Coota are on the improve and we didn’t play as well as we could have. They are going to be hard to beat now with their tails up, and I do believe that they will give it to Harden. They play them this weekend at Coota.
“Our set piece was okay. Scrum was fine, and the line out, started off well then went to bits.
“Tommy Richardson had a blinder. He plays at loose head.
“Coota are a quality team with very good skills and they played fast, attacking rugby and held on to it for long periods of time.
“We waltzed down the paddock in the first four minutes and scored a try and then dropped the ball off the kick off and then didn’t see it for 30 minutes after.
“They scored five tries in 30 minutes and we had a card in that time as well.
“This weekend we have got West Wyalong.
The Yabbies beat WW pretty convincingly, which is to be expected, Boorowa, Young, Harden, and Coota have been traditionally the top four teams.
“West Wyalong at home, they scored a couple of tries against the Yabbies.
“We need to turn up and play to our structure and get a lot more confidence back.
“Hoping to have a good set of numbers at home and hopefully back to the business end of things as we have gone to number two on the ladder below Harden.
“The only thing that will change that is if Coota beats Harden with a bonus point this weekend.
“And there is a real possibility if Harden and us have a couple of shockers, Coota can still finish second.
Keagan believes there’s three teams that can win the comp based on their performances this year.
“There’s three teams that can win it.
“It is frustrating coaching to get 27 or 28 genuine players turn up to ladies day at home, and then the following weekend you are scratching, looking for a team on Friday night.”
“Thanks to the Rovers players who came over and gave us a hand. There was five league boys that helped us as they had a bye.”
The Goldies will be back into it, they have been too consistent not be there at the pointy end over the last few years.
