With $3.9 Million Returned to Boorowa
and the Greater Area
Community Bank Boorowa is proud to celebrate 25 years of community banking this month, officially reaching the milestone on Tuesday, 12 May 2026 and marking the occasion with a significant investment in the future of local youth.
As part of the anniversary celebrations, the bank has awarded nine student scholarships, contributing a total of $45,000 to support young people from the Boorowa and greater area to pursue their education and career aspirations. The 2026 scholarship program represents more than double the bank’s usual annual offering, reflecting a strong commitment to the next generation.
This milestone also highlights the broader impact of Community Bank Boorowa over the past quarter century, with nearly $4 million returned to the local community through grants, scholarships and sponsorships.
Chair Belinda Reid said the milestone is a powerful reflection of what can be achieved when a community backs itself.
“For 25 years, our branch has provided fantastic banking services, while at the same time given back to our community and the local people who are part of it.
“Reaching nearly $4 million returned to the community is something we’re incredibly proud of but more importantly, it represents real outcomes. It’s stronger organisations, supported families and opportunities to prosper for our young people.”
Branch Manager Darren Manton said this year’s expanded scholarship program highlights the bank’s ongoing commitment to the vitality and long-term future of Boorowa and greater area.
“Awarding nine scholarships this year and investing $45,000 into our youth is something truly special. These young people represent the future of our community and we’re proud to play a part in their journey.”
