Boorowa Central School’s friends and family may have seen an exciting update landing from a crane as the new preschool building was laid on school grounds on May 6.
The new building will see two classrooms for preschoolers and will feature an administration area, amenities, staff kitchen and storage area.
The building module instalment marks the start of the new Boorowa Preschool. Once completed, the town will soon have two preschool options for children.
The new Boorowa preschool falls under the NSW Government’s $769 million investment to deliver 100 new public preschools to further boost access to education across the state.
Co-located on public school sites, the project aims to assist with accessibility for children to access preschool before entering primary school.
The Boorowa Preschool will be located in the southwest corner of the Boorowa Central School and will feature an outdoor play area.
Construction of the preschool is expected to be completed in time for Term 1, 2027 and will be able to accommodate up to 40 children per day.
