Boorowa Central School have enjoyed a great year and is looking forward to an even greater 2026 with the announcement of next year’s captains.
Principal Graham Jones said, “We are very proud to announce our 2026 Primary Captains and Vice Captains at Boorowa Central School.
“A huge congratulations to our Captains, Patch and Digby, and our Vice Captains, Billy and Alice. These students have already shown wonderful leadership qualities, school spirit and dedication, and we know they will represent our primary school with pride throughout the year.
“Well done to all four students – we’re excited to see you lead, inspire and shine in 2026.”
Mr Jones also said the School itself was seeking educators for the next year.
“The Boorowa Public Preschool is scheduled to open Term 3 of 2026. Boorowa Central School is seeking applications from Preschool Teachers and SLSOs to join our team.
“The preschool teachers (2) and SLSO (Student Learning and Support Officer) will work closely with the principal during semester 1 of 2026 to develop our preschool programs, procedures and practices with the support of the Department of Education’s Early Years Learning Team.
“Professional learning, mentoring, preschool site visits and much more will be included during semester 1 to ensure that our preschool will be ready to provide quality play-based, intentional educational programs guided by the Early Years Learning Framework, to help all children make a strong start in life and learning and experience a successful transition to school.
He also congratulated the award winners for Week 9.
“Congratulations to all our Week 9 award recipients! We’re incredibly proud of the effort, attitude and achievements shown across the school.
“A special mention goes to our Principal’s Award recipients: Digby and Emmett for their hard work and dedication to the Aurora program this year. Outstanding effort, boys.
