Boorowa Gold Remain Unbeaten

Boorowa Gold continued their unbeaten run in the Under 11’s South West Slopes Cricket league with their latest victim being the Cato Strikers. It was a much closer game though with the Golds prevailing by just 15 runs.

The Strikers batted first and scored a very respectable 148 which put the Golds bowling line up under some pressure for one of the few times this season.

George Manion was the main wicket taker for Boorowa with 2/4 whilst Alfie Shean 1/24 and Thomas Scott 1/5 were the other Boorowa wicket takers.

In reply Boorowa made 163 surpassing the strikers with plenty of balls to spare. Jacob Halls led the way for the strong Golds line up scoring 33 off 15 balls. He was well supported by George Manion with 25 off 15 balls whilst Lachlan Halls scored 21 off just 15 balls.

The best for the Strikers was Hugh Findlay 18 and Pippa Findlay 14 with the bat whilst Archie Parkman took 2/18 with the ball.

The Golds have now won seven straight games and sit alone at the top of the ladder. They could probably give the Aussie Test team some advice now.
