November 12 was the 30th anniversary of Boorowa Court House Arts and Crafts Co-op where at 10:30am a Devonshire Tea was served.

The morning tea was a great success – the Court House was filled to capacity and many good reports have been received. Speeches were made by Councillor Joanne Mackay (who represented the Mayor), Mr. Anthony O’Reilly, General Manager of Hilltops Council and Catherine Sheridan who represented MP Steph Cooke.

Lorna Spackman of Boorowa Arts and Crafts said it was a positive morning.

“All the comments I’ve had about the day have all been positive. People enjoyed themselves very much.

“We had short speeches and I think that always goes down well with people.

“Jo Mackey spoke on behalf of the Mayor and the General Manager spoke as well.

“It was a thoroughly enjoyable time with about 40 people sitting and having a scone and cup of tea.

“Rob Gledhill was very keen on it when he was a Councillor and unfortunately he was unwell and couldn’t come. Lauri Woodford was instrumental in setting it up and he couldn’t come, but his wife Betty was there.”

It was a fantastic affair.
