Hilltops Community Satisfaction Survey 2026 – Make Sure You Share Your Thoughts

Hilltops Council is once again inviting residents to participate in its annual Community Satisfaction Survey, providing an opportunity for the community to share feedback on Council services, facilities and future priorities.

The survey is an important tool that helps Council measure community satisfaction, assess its performance, and identify opportunities for improvement across all areas of service delivery. By comparing results with previous years, Council can track changes in community sentiment, identify emerging issues, and evaluate the effectiveness of improvements made in response to community feedback.

Results from the 2025 Community Satisfaction Survey highlighted several key issues that remain important to residents, including concerns about ageing water infrastructure, pothole repairs and road maintenance. The survey also identified strong levels of satisfaction with library services across the Hilltops region, with many residents praising Council’s friendly and approachable customer service team.

Council has continued to respond to the issues raised through the survey. With a focus on works including minor pavement patching, grade formation and shoulder works, pavement edge and wearing surface repairs, drainage maintenance, kerb and gutter repairs and road resheeting. This demonstrates the significant and ongoing investment in maintaining the region’s road network and addressing road condition concerns raised by the community.

Another issue highlighted by residents in last year’s survey was the management of Council’s pools, and Council listened.

“Since then, following community feedback, Council has taken over management of all four aquatic centres and significantly improved customer experience,” Acting General Manager, Sarah Karaitiana said.

“The 2026 survey provides an opportunity for the community to tell us whether we’re heading in the right direction and where further improvements may be needed.”
This year’s survey asks residents to provide feedback across the broad range of Council services and facilities, helping Council better understand community expectations and priorities.

The survey will gather valuable information on:
• Satisfaction with Council services and facilities
• Council’s overall performance
• Community priorities for future investment and service delivery
• Opportunities and ideas for improvement

Survey responses will be analysed and reported to Council, with findings used to help shape future planning, service delivery and improvement initiatives.

The 2026 Community Satisfaction Survey is now open, and residents are invited to have their say.
