The Boorowa Goldies have rounded out their regular season with a dominant 26-5 victory over the Harden Red Devils, securing a spot at the top of the ladder with a remarkable 13-1 record. This performance cements their place as one of the most formidable teams in the league, having outscored their competition by an astounding 500 points over the course of the season.
Captain Keagan Size, who crossed the try line twice in the final match, led the charge for the Goldies. “It’s been an incredible season for us. The guys have really stepped up, and we’ve come together as a team in ways I couldn’t have imagined at the start of the year,” said Size, reflecting on the team’s impressive journey.
“Harden played hard, but we controlled the pace and stuck to our game plan. We’ve been building all season, and now we’re hitting our stride just in time for the finals.” Despite the cold weather and the Devils’ lightning-fast line speed, the Goldies didn’t falter. The attacking force was supported by standout performances from Michael Berry and Rob Stirzaker, both of whom were instrumental in driving the scoreline up. Josh Carmody also had a solid game with the boot, converting 3 of 4 attempts to keep the scoreboard ticking.
