The Boorowa Goldies continued their strong start to the season over the weekend, tearing apart the Grenfell Panthers 48-7 in Boorowa.
For a second consecutive week, the Goldies managed to win by double-figure points and continue to establish themselves as the team to beat in the competition.
Boorowa will be confident in their abilities this season, especially given the seemingly dramatic falloff of the Young Yabbies.

The Yabbies, who are currently the reigning premiers of the South West Fuels Cup, have struggled in the early part of the season, suffering a defeat to Temora in week one before narrowly defeating last year’s wooden spoon holders West Wyalong.
The biggest this season may come from their rivals in the Twin Towns, with Harden securing two big wins against Condobolin and Cootamundra, who themselves will be hopeful of playing finals football.
With Young coming back to the field in terms of talent, the competition looks to be as competitive as ever with every team putting their hat in the ring as a potential finals candidate.

Boorowa will find out just how far the Yabbies have fallen tomorrow night when they travel to Cranfield Oval to play in the grand final rematch.
The Goldies will be certain to not underestimate their opponents knowing just how dangerous Young can be when at their best. The Yabbies didn’t win their comps by accident and will do their best to find and form in their efforts to retain their trophy.

Elsewhere in the South West Fuels Cup, the Harden Red Devils showed their not just here to take part with an emphatic 40-0 win over the Condobolin Rams, The Cootamundra Tri-Colours were back in a big way, sending the Temora Tuskers back down to earth with a 44-0 thrashing on the Tuskers own ground and the Yabbies took home the points in a narrow 24-14 win over the West Wyalong Weevils.
Boorowa (48), tries Adam Hick, Patrick Johnson, Josh Sloane, George Chudleigh, Fergus Munns and Ryan Simpson, def Grenfell Panthers (7), William Brown.
