Boorowa Rotary Club to Host Welcome BBQ for Newcomers

The Boorowa Rotary Club is once again hosting its annual BBQ to welcome newcomers to the community.

The event, which has become a tradition over the past few years, will take place on Sunday, April 6th, starting at midday at the Rec Park on Pudman Street.

Lyn Diskon, a member of the Boorowa Rotary Club, explained that the BBQ offers an opportunity for families to connect with others in the town.

“It’s a great chance to meet people, whether you’re new to Boorowa or just looking to get to know the community better,” she said. “Of course, it’s also a way to meet fellow Rotarians and see what we do.”

The BBQ is free to attend, and each year, the event draws several newcomers to the area, though Diskon noted they don’t expect to be “over-run” with large crowds.

“It’s always a nice, comfortable way to be introduced to the wider community,” she said.

“It gives people a chance to mingle, relax, and let the town know who they are.”

The event is open to everyone, and it provides a great opportunity to learn more about Boorowa and the Rotary Club’s involvement in the community. Whether you’re new to the area or just looking to make some new connections, the BBQ is a welcoming event for all. So, if you’re in the area on Sunday, April 6th, head down to the Rec Park for some great food and even better company.
