On Sunday we saw the community gather at the annual St Joseph’s Primary School’s Fete and Colour Run. There were market stalls, kid’s amusements, face painting, ball drop, helicopter joy flights, with the day ending in a rainbow with their colour run.
St Joseph’s Primary School Community Council representative Sharon Webster said that this year we aim to replace some of the school’s old IT.
“We are so grateful for the Community Bank Boorowa coming on as major sponsors and they kindly donated the Holi colour powder.”
“It was a great community day with huge local business representation and not just a day for the kids but also the wider community.”
“This year was our third year and the biggest yet! A special thanks to the Boorowa Fire and Rescue Station 232 for your contributions and what a great day had by all our school friends, parents, teachers and students.”

Community Bank Boorowa Acting Branch Manager Darren Manton said, “Our young people are our future, and we believe they deserve the best opportunities and resources to lead them to flourish at school.”
“The Community Bank Boorowa Branch Sponsorship Program is open all year round. The local board of directors see great value in sponsoring events, projects or organisations.”
“Sponsorship applications are reviewed at our monthly Board meeting normally held in the last week of the month with applicants notified of a decision as soon as possible following the meeting. However, if requests are urgent, we urge the community to make contact.”

“Community banking is based on a ‘profit-with-purpose’ model, which means our profits are returned directly to the community that has generated them.”
“Every day our customers help change lives, simply by doing their banking with us which has meant that we have been able to provide nearly $4 million in sponsorships, scholarships, grants and other benefits to the community over our 24 years.”
