For the first time in several seasons, the Boorowa Over Rovers participated in the Young Masters Rugby League carnival held last weekend. The carnival is a great event where former players can relive their glory days whilst at the same time enjoying some comradery with players of years gone by.
The Over Rovers played two games on Saturday and after an evening of fun, war stories and a few ice packs, they backed up on Sunday for another game.
Although keeping scores was irrelevant, Boorowa played well, with a few old boys thinking they could almost line up for the George Tooke Shield again.
They certainly looked the part.
